Weekend Pastel Nails

Firstly, i would like to say hello to my new followers! Thank you so much for following my blog. It really means a lot to me and i hope you continue to enjoy my posts.

So... Im really getting into pastel colours at the moment. Well they are everywhere when i go shopping at the moment and i feel they go hand in hand with sunshine and make me feel refreshed. Im getting so excited for warmer weather as we have been teased by gorgeous sunshine recently. I cant wait to wear some denim shorts (without tights) and a pastel coloured top :)

So anyway onto nails: i came back from shopping and had seen so many pastel coloured clothing that it inspired me to paint my nails following the same theme.

(From left to right)

OPI: Pink Friday
Barry M: Blue Moon
Barry M: Peach Melba
Barry M: Berry Lilac
W7: Unknown

I couldn't make my mind up as to what colour i should do so i decided one of each to create a mash up of ice cream pastel colours :)

Hope you like my nails, I'm so in love with them :)
Hope you all had a great weekend

OOTD I Spy Pugs

Necklace: Accessorize
Vest top: Topshop
Green top: Forever 21
Cardigan: Home knitted
Jeans: Topshop
Socks: Topshop
Shoes: Primark
Bag: Charity shop

I stayed in bed most of the day as i haven't felt well but made myself get up around lunch time. For some reason having a good shower, getting dressed and doing my make up makes me feel better for a while until it soon wears off and i feel rough again. I ended up going to Bingo with my Aunt this evening which was so much fun ( a post about my Bingo experience soon).

I wanted something that was comfortable and something that i would feel good in. These jeans and cardigan are my safe wardrobe staples and go with so many other items.

Also i will be posting a 'Everyday make up' post soon. So look out for that :)

Hope you like, thanks for popping by

Light coverage

Personally i only ever wear medium - full coverage foundation when i go out for an occasion like a birthday or a get together or just a night out. So during the day i reach for light coverage foundations or a BB cream just so it allows my skin to breath slightly.

Below are the light coverage products i reach for and alternate between during the week.

*The one i use the most is the Garnier Daily all-in-one BB cream in light*

I find it gives me the nicest finish on my skin, and helps it to look healthy and dewy. It has quite good coverage and on a good day i can go out the house just wearing this. It has a slight fragrance to it which is a nice smell but it could be a problem for sensitive skin.
I purchased it when it was on offer in Boots for £9.99 and has lasted me around 3 months so far, which isn't bad at all.
The consistency is quite thick. Thicker than what i thought it was going to be like. When you smooth it out over your face it thins out completely and seems to disappear into the skin very quickly. My personal rating of the Garnier BB cream is 9/10.

*The next product that i use quite a lot is the Maybelline Dream Nude Airfoam*

At first i was a bit skeptical about the whole foam thing and still I'm not 100% sure about it. I find that when you press down to allow to foam to come out, even the slightest touch makes it spit out then runs out smooth and always far to much ends up on my hand.

However saying this i do like the finish it gives my skin. It is advertised as a light coverage foundation but i find it has quite a flawless finish and quite matte too which i prefer some days to dewy. I do find it hard to blend over my face and especially down my neck.
Overall my personal rating of this product is 6.5/10.

*The last product i use is the Natural Collection tinted moisturiser*

At first i thought hell yeah! £1.99... I'm trying that. I used it for around 3 weeks and realised that whenever i used this i put on a lot of powder to set it as it is literally just a moisturiser with a hint of tint that isn't really there. I wasn't bothered as it was a small £1.99. I do still use this when I'm dancing or when i go to the gym just so i feel a little bit nicer to look at in the mirror.

As you can see from the picture above, the consistency of this is very runny and thin. This does make it quite easy to apply and can be blended into the skin and down the neck. As i said above i do still use this but rarely. I would personally rate this 4/10.

Sorry this was quite a long post, feel free to comment below and let me know what you use.

OOTD Double Grey

I really wanted to wear my new skirt i picked up from Primark which only cost £4 (which will be featured in a Haul soon). I decided to wear it with a grey top which was just a slightly different tone of grey. I am really into wearing the same colour top and bottom at the moment. Some people don't like it which is fair enough, i just feel it can look really different.

I decided to wear a long silver necklace to brighten up the grey, which also contrasted with the gold balls that are all over my cardigan.

The cardigan is quite long and hits just under the length of my skirt.

You will hardly ever catch me wearing a lot of make up during the day. Im a very big fan of the natural look, but when i do want to wear a bit more i put some eye shadow on. And my hair in a top knot just because i couldn't be bothered to do my hair.

Cardigan: Topshop
Top: Topshop
Necklace: Urban Outfitters
Skirt: Primark
Tights: Primark

OPI Pink Friday

So when i heard that Nicki Minaj was bringing out a nail varnish collection with OPI i was a little excited as I'm a massive fan of Nicki. But saying that i only purchased one, which was 'Pink Friday'. I have quite a few OPI nail varnishes so i knew that for £10.50 i was getting a really good quality product.

It did take 3 coats to get the final look that i have pictured below, but with a good topcoat it should stay a good few days. I have also added a glittery accent nail which is also an OPI nail varnish called 'Servin up Sparkle'.

On a whole im very happy and will be using this over and over through out the year :)

Bourjois make-up

For some reason i have never purchased any Bourjois products. There was just nothing that really caught my eye. Don't get me wrong they are quite popular but just haven't been on my radar. I've seen many YouTube videos and blogs featuring the Bourjois chocolate bronzer and a few of the nail varnishes which did start to get me interested. So when in my local Boots the other day i noticed 3 for 2 on all of the Bourjois stand so thought to myself, i might as well.

I picked up the very popular 'Chocolate Bronzer' in the lightest shade of the two available Boots: £6.99  . . .
So far i have really enjoyed using this product, even though it only has been a week. As i have quite fair skin this is a great contour color for me and something i could use over the whole face to just add some sun kissed look to my face. The smell is so good too :)

I also picked up the Volumizer Mascara, in black. Boots: £10.49. . . .
I am always on the look out for the most amazing and perfect mascara for me, so I'm always up for trying lots of different ones. Now if you like clumpy mascaras then you need this in your life. The step one wand makes your lashes very natural looking but does add some length. Then step two adds volume, and when i say volume i really do mean that. However it's so easy for it to turn into clumps, but once you get to know the wand and get used to it you can eliminate this happening. The first day of wearing this i have to say my lashes didn't look the best, but now i think i actually love this mascara!

And lastly was the Liner Feutre in black. Boots: £6.99. . . .
I have to say that eyeliners are the second type of make-up product i am always on the look out for the best for me. Now i am a very big fan of black liquid liners which is why i picked this up, and i also like the felt tip nibs. After wearing this for a day at work i checked my make-up when i got home and it had worn away and some had flaked slightly to the lower lash line. I will see it through and try it out for at least a month. So my opinion might change. However i have found it to be very pigmented which is great!

Overall i am quite happy with these Bourjois products. Out of the three i would probably, at this moment in time re purchase two of them (mascara and bronzer). I have always thought of Bourjois as being quite over priced compared to what i normal buy from drug stores (Boots,Superdrug). I will most certainly take up other offers that come up like the 3 for 2 offer.

I would love to know your thoughts, or even products from Bourjois that you recommend me to try.

Topshop Ambush Tan Boots

Hello everyone!

Ever since i picked up the black Allegra boots from Topshop i thought i would never want to buy any more pairs because i was so obsessed with them. So the other day i was looking through Instagram (which i am slightly addicted to) and saw that Viviannamakeup (check out her blog and youtube) had uploaded a picture of some new boots so i clicked on it to just have a nose. And i instantly fell in love and said to myself "I have to have them".

Tan, distressed toe and heel effect

Vips both sides of each boot

I have only had these a few days so i can't really give my thoughts on if they are comfortable or not. But just wearing them for one day, i was very happy as i did find them comfy and nice to walk in. I think these are great for during the day say if your wearing all black these wold add such a different feel to the outfit instead of black shoes. I feel the distressed look makes the boots that bit more interesting as well as having double zips. Great boots!!!
