An easy August exploring outfit | Style
A warm day in August meant that I got my milk bottle legs out and was proud. I will either get my legs out or arms out, and today was the perfect weather for this Topshop slip dress that I'd bought a few weeks ago. As I was desperate to wear it styling around the over the t-shirt trend I knew this day was the perfect chance for me to try it out.
We went to Rye and Dungeness for a day of exploring, coffee and chill time in the sun along with quite a bit of photo taking. I wanted to be comfortable as the weather was lovely and warm and knew that mixing warm weather and lots of walking might mean you become a bit of a sweaty mess (ewww). The paisley top underneath the dress was a bargain buy (I think last year) from Topshop in the maternity section. Its lightweight and pretty breathable and adds a little bit of colour to my very monochrome wardrobe. I've worn the slip dress out on its own before with a lace bralet and thinks its great to have pieces like this in your collection that are so transitional, and can be used both day and night. I went for my boohoo lace up shoes because they're just cute and summery and crazy comfortable.
When it comes to accessories, I'm totally obsessed with these sunglasses from Shop Two Three that I picked up at the #BigBloggerExpo. They're far too cool for me, but I wear them regardless. My jewellery is pretty much all Pandora and I rarely go out without my Daniel Wellington watch Tony bought me ages ago. You've probably already realised how totally into my Whistles backpack I am. Always use it, goes with everything, and I just love it. I really need one in a different colour to mix it up a bit but need to start saving!
Got any summer staple pieces you like to wear to feel comfortable in the warm weather?
