I've been a fan of Benefits They're Real for a long time now and have even got my mum and sister hooked, to the point that they refuse to use anything else. I on the other hand am always up for checking out whats around and realised I had one of these Burberry mascaras unopened in my stash. In a way I wish I hadn't opened it as it's actually making me reconsider my previous full on love for They're Real.
A bit of lash background- Mine are stubborn, straight forward lashes that find it hard to hold a curl for more than an hour......... Enough said.
Benefit They're Real: Holds a curl for a long period of time without any flaking at all. Jet black and after a couple of weeks after you initially open it the consistency changes and is no longer gloppy and in a way slightly runny. Hard to take off at the end of the day so would recommend an oil based make up remover. It works even better alongside the primer that Benefit brought out, but on its own, its still a really good mascara.
Burberry Effortless: Not as reliable in terms of holding a curl. I most certainly need to curl my lashes prior to applying this to really maximise its longevity. I find that in comparison with They're Real this is much more of a manageable consistency from the word go and was more than happy to use it as soon as I opened it.
Overall, both these mascaras are up there in my top 5 and would tell everyone and anyone to give them a go. If you have stubborn straight forward lashes like me, then youll really appreciate both of these beauts.
Do you have any mascara recommendations for stubborn lashes?
