I can't be the only one who ends up with a bunch of lipsticks/lip products because 'you just never know'. I'll go out wearing a pinky nude and then after lunch fancy a bold lip and low and behold I will have a few to choose from. I'm not sure how I end up with at least 6 different lip products in my bag, but it gets to a time where I go into the lipstick section in my collection and notice a big dent and think to myself......now what bag did I last have.
So on this day, the lip products I have in my bag are:
Models own- Blackberry: IF you need something sheer with a hint of colour that is super hydrating and moisturising for your lips all at the same time, then this is the guy for you. I've been a lover of this for a few years now and Sammi over at The Beauty Crush got me into it. It give enough colour to make it look like you have taken quite a while to apply. Such a nice dark berry colour and perfect for people who are afraid of a bold lip.
Collection creme puff- Cotton Candy: A product that doesn't get much attention for some crazy reason. I literally love these and for the price, they are an absolute steal. They dry matte and give such a great colour pay off when applied and after an hour on the lips. It has a sponge applicator which I like using more than I though. The crime puffs are products you can chuck on without a mirror with ease and are great if your off out somewhere and need to slap a bit of colour on.
Mac -Ruby Woo: Ok so my previous two are easy to wear throw on products. This one is the complete opposite. I always make sure to have a red with me at all times, because you just never know when your going to need one. This is one of my most favourite reds I own which is the same for a lot of people. Creates such a bold statement lip with a touch of vintage and class about it. Yes I have to use a mirror to apply it, but it's so worth it.
Clinique chubby stick - Mimosa: This particular shade is very much like the collection cremem puff but shearer. If I don't fancy a bright, or a sheer red I go for this. Gives a little gloss to the lips with a your lips but better boost. Another easy to apply product that. Will never fail to perk up a face that screams 'It's been a hard day'.
Maybelline colour drama- Light it up: Having included this in a few posts now and seen these on so many different instagrams and so on, it's clear that these are one of the most wanted right now. They are such a soft formula, nice to apply, long lasting and incredibly high in colour pay off. I find this easier to apply that MAC Ruby Woo so if I cam short on time I head straight to this one.
Please tell me there are other people out there that do this! Comment below with your usual suspects.

Growing up I had quite bad acne and the brightest red cheeks you've ever seen. Now I'm 27 my skin is much better however I still have the bright red cheeks that I desperately cover everyday and this make up look is something I go to most days when I'm not at work.
N7 colour primer-£10.50- I've done a post all about priming my face and have included this product in that HERE. It act as a great primer however if also diminishes my red cheeks like a pro. I use this every single day and really does help to even them out with the rest of my skin.
Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation- £9.99- My go to base at the moment. I'm totally loving using this as it can be used lightly and built up if you need it to be full coverage. Doesnt clump in my dry areas and is a great colour match for me. Certainly one of my all time drugstore foundations.
Soap and Glory Archery- £8.00- Your probably all bored of me banging on about this product so I will leave it as that and link you to my brow post HERE.
Bourjois chocolate bronzer- £7.99- I went out last week and treated myself to another one of these having given my old one to my sister as I didn't get on with it at all. I must of been having an off time with make up as now I don't understand how I felt like that. It's a great bronzer! Affordable and smells amazing. I do find the shades are a bit iffy and I have to been so light handed when applying but when I do it right, I love the look when using it as a contour.
Naked palette- £38.00- A palette that everyone should own. Such beautiful colours and great for a day time look and then incredibly easy to transform the look to evening. In this look pictured I'm just wearing 'syn' all over the lid with some 'naked' in the crease to add a little definition.
Nars lip pencil in Lodhi- £19.00- I got this in the Harvey Nichols Glossybox and love it so so much. Such a soft product that has great colour pay off and is easy to apply. My only downside I find is that it's not very long lasting, obviously compared to the matte versions. I wear it on days when I'm popping into town and have the time to re-apply every now and again. But this is defo not a night on the town lip product.
Maybelline Falsies mascara -£7.99- Since I discovered Maybelline mascaras a couple of months ago I've had a very on off relationship with them. This one the most. Having let it dry out slightly from quite a few usages I feel its done wonders for this product. It holds a curl better, not as gloomy, and actually easier to apply. I will persist with it and include a final verdict in an empties post.
I've had quite a few people asking if or when I'm going to go on YouTube and to do make up looks and stuff. Is it just me or this this scary for anyone? I mean filming myself and putting it on YouTube I am nervous just thinking about it. Did anyone else feel this when making this decision?
Thanks for reading you lovely bunch,

Half term has been lovely and a lot of picture taking. Lots of meeting friends, the cinema, food and just some me time. You don't realise how little time you give to just yourself when you get wrapped up in life/work. Small things like taking a 2 hour bath the other evening, knowing I didn't have anything to do or wake up for the next day was heavenly. If you didn't already know I've been doing a post a day through the half term week and have loved every minute and am so overwhelmed by the support from you guys as the views on my blog and blog posts have been rising and rising. Makes me so happy knowing people are enjoying what I ramble on about *tells myself to stop rambling now. Here's my half term round up!
1- Brighton #OOTD. Post HERE. I love going to Brighton, even if it is a day trip and not a long weekend or something. There's always place to go, things to see and lots of yummy food to eat that I can actually eat *stupid intolerances.
2- If your'e vegan or just dairy free you will love PizzaMe in Brighton. The cheesiest dairy free pizza I've ever had. Defo a must for anyone. As you can see Tony had meat and every on his so they cater for all. Bit of a walk out of the town but so worth it. And, they deliver!!
3- Had to go and see what all the fuss was about didn't I, and as a huge cinema fan I couldn't say no. 50 shades was exactly what I thought it would be like. A bit cheesy, quite rude and to the point and a little heart string pull may of occurred towards the end. It's one of those that your just interested in how they have created a film version, and for those who haven't read the book....where have you been?
4- Some treats I may of *definitely purchased at the SpaceNK in Brighton. In fact I wore this lip product on a night out last night and it was awesome so a review is on its way!! Does anyone have any other shades as I would defo be up for buying more. I love the Caudalie spray.... its just one of those I don't like to be without.
5- PANCAKE DAY!! Of course mine were dairy free and snuck some caramel spread on there as well, which btw I am so addicted to I have it everyday ..... bye bye teeth. I do enjoy pancakes and would really like to enjoy them more often but because of work I don't really have the time ti make them. May have to make it a Sunday thing. What did you have on your pancakes?
6- As most young girls I had the Olsen twins films on VHS and DVD. Used to be totally obsessed with them. Now they have grown into such gorgeous women I find myself looking to them for make up and style inspo. I mean this picture just says it all. Wish I could pull off such an on point dark eye like that.
7- Having a break from my marking school work day and having a walk along the sea. I am lucky enough to live extremely close to this lovely sea side town and don't go down there enough. Myself and my other teacher friend took a nice walk with a peppermint tea in hand and had a lovely catch up. We might have popped into the old sweet shop too *might? I most certainly bought 100grams of sherbet pips and ate the lot within an hour.
8- A bath is not the same without a Lush product. I had this left over from Christmas and fancied a sweet bath so gave it a whirl around the bath and it transformed into candy heaven. No matter whether your male of female I think that everyone has a soft spot for snow fairy, and products like these that mean you can have multiple bubble baths is just a god send.
9- A make up look for a normal 'day off' day. I love seeing side by side what make up can do to transform yourself. I always find it so fascinating how eyebrows really do make or break the look, and if you have bad brows it can bring everything down with them. One product I used which I'm finding I'm loving more and more is the Boujois Healthy mix foundation. Such great coverage and finish.
10- Is it ok to love white jeans? I feel this is a similar situation as to what roll necks *turtle necks have attached to them. Some people love them, some people hate them. I used to really not be a fan however I'm seeing more and more people braving them and love how they look. I didn't buy these ones as the Leigh jeans in Topshop don't do much for me so am on the hunt for a good pair... any suggestions?
11- Eastenders had their big live week over half term which was perfectly timed with half term. Being a huge fan and same with the boyf we made a night of the big reveal and cooked up some great tasting BBQ fajitas. Was anyone disappointed that it was Bobby? We were :(
12- The Intolerant Wife is a must for anyone suffering with intolerances! Post to come.
13- Still on a suit hype and need this Missguided one in my life. Love navy and pinstipes so really this is the perfect one for me!! I would love to style it and mix it up between day and night, heels and flats, trainers and boots. I'm excited and haven't even got it yet haha.
14- My morning routine and evening skincare routine have had their own posts. Go check them out if your a skincare fan, or whether you fancy a nose because you are wanting to change up your routine.
15- I went a bit nuts in River Island. Rings rings rings are all I'm thinking about with regards to accessories. Loving wearing multiple on both hands. Does anyone know how to stop costume jewellery going green on your skin though? I must have clammy hands.... eeeeuuuuuuwwwwww.
16- Had a night out in London's Kanaloa yesterday for a good friends birthday. Had our own section and everything! I was in prosecco heaven and the tunes kept on coming. Totally recommend you going if your looking for a good night out.
WOW that was a long one. Thanks so much for anyone that takes the time to read this mammoth post. And again, thank you all for supporting me and stopping by everyday this week! Next week it will be back to the regular *Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
See you then!

It's time for the next instalment of my skincare routine posts. As you can see a few of these products were featured in my morning routine so I will just link that post when I mention those products.
Step 1- 'Rimmel Just Let it Go' This is a great eye make up remover and works hard on tough waterproof mascara. It feels very similar to the Clinique eye make up remover but obviously a cheaper version. I like to use this on a couple of cotton pads to get the majority of my eye make up off.
Step 2- 'Garnier Micella Cleansing Water' I take this all over my face to take off any make up for just the days sweat and whatever has made it to my face. Great at taking off make up and acts like a pre cleanse. Morning routine HERE.
Step 3- 'Liz Earl Cleanse and Polish' As you saw in my morning routine, this is my chosen cleanser. I do need to get a new one so suggestions below would be great. It does the job without anything super duper special. It cleanses your skin, takes off any let over make up and is kind and gentle to your skin, what more do you want?
Step 4- 'Pixi Glow Tonic' Is one of my favourite steps in my evening routine. You can really feel this product working and has done wonders for my skin. My skin has been literally glowing, plump, tight, blemish free *even the under the skin ones. It's also helped even out my skin tone and is a step now that I can't believe I have gone without for so long. Post HERE on exfoliating toners.
Step 5- 'REN Clarifying Toner' previous post HERE. I like to use this straight after the acid toner to just neutralise my skin again and to calm it down. I swipe this all over the face however missing out the eyes.
Step 6- 'Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair' I love this stuff so so much! I've used it for years now and literally feel that content with it I'm not fussed about trying out another serum. If I have a small break out this seems to sort it out before it gets out of hand. Its seriously hydrating and my skin feels lovely after applying it. Overall it's just a nice product to use and one I will always go back to.
Step 7- 'Estee Lauder Advanced Eye Repair' Obviously I can't tell if this works yet as I'm only 27 and have used it for 2 years but I just enjoy it. Soothing but not fresh so it's quite relaxing to apply this before bed and feels very luxurious and hydrating. I could probably go without using an eye cream but for now, this is doing a great job.
Step 8- 'Yes to Carrots Night Cream' Another Yes To product, what can I say I like a good old 3 for 2. I'm not overly fussed about this product and have been flitting through 3 different night creams but this is the one I'm using the most. It just feels like a normal moisturiser, nothing special about how it makes my skin feel. It leaves my skin feeling quite greasy and doesn't soak into my skin very quickly. It does a good job of making my skin feel soft and moisturised however I am certainly on the look out for something that gives that little bit more.
Do you use any of these products? I love skincare and am all for trying news products so would love to hear your recommendations.

A day trip to Brighton with Tony was certainly on the cards as soon as his day off was agreed, so off we went at 9am for a little day trip. Even though we had nothing planned for the time we were there, I just love walking around the town and the Laines. So many nice shops to go in and great places to eat that have vegan options and thought I would share with you my outfit from the day.
I'm not very outgoing when it comes to fashion, give me some purple eyeshadow and a crazy bright lip and I'm all for it however I'm quite bog standard with my style. I felt some what brave on this day and busted out a hat from H&M ages ago. This is the first time I've ever worn this hat out and actually loved the way it looked with my outfit. I knew it was going to be windy so my hair was put up and the hat was chucked on.
Layering is key! Especially in Brighton on a windy, chilly day for four layers it was. The top is from Whistles sale maybe last year of the year before, black and white silk t -shirt that is just so easy to wear and can be dressed up or down. I had a sneaky cardigan over that from good old M&S that was a dark grey to add some warmth. When COS have a sale I try to stay clear because it can be dangerous, however when shopping with my sister that goes out of the window. The Woolen cape was a steal at 50% off and really added something extra to my outfit. Lastly my pleather jacket from Warehouse. You can't go wrong and is water resistant, go with keeping out the wind, and lets face it, pleather jackets just look good!
Is there any girl out there that hasn't got a pair of Topshop jeans? These are the ripped Jamies and I love them, can't stop wearing them. So comfy and the rips give you a little bit of an edgy look. To go with the comfort of the jeans I busted out my trusty old white vans *that aren't that white anymore. Seemed the best bet because of all the walking we had planned to do.
I had intended to buy lots however ended up with more vegan treats than clothes or make up *however a trip to SpaceNK did happen. So for the job of carrying a lot of food and my accient poloriud camera my large Longchamp bag was a great help.
Who else loves a day trip? Would you like to see more #ootd posts?
Much love. happy Friday!

A post I've never decided to venture into for some reasons however now is the time to share my most favourite part of beauty....skincare! So before I get stuck in a little low down on my skin: It's combination, oily and dry. I have sections that get very dry and flaky but at the same time I have oily sections such as my chin and my forehead. I don't suffer with many breakouts however they like to pop up now and again.
Step 1- 'Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water' I use to just freshen my skin after the nights sleep. To get off any sweat or bacteria from the pillow and all of that lovely stuff, so my first cleanse. It's just nice, refreshing and makes you instantly feel clean.
Step 2- 'Liz Earl Cleanse and Polish' is a product I think I will always use in my routine. It's a great gentle cleanser that works well with my skin, keeps it calm with minimal to no breakouts and does an awesome job at getting rid of make up. This is the cleanser that is actually cleansing my skin and I work it into dry skin and buffer in with a warm cloth and splash with cold water to finish.
Step 3- 'REN Clarifying Toner' previous post HERE. Such a nice toner that works brilliantly with breakouts or just a couple of those under the skin spots. I use it as an all over toner but if I for some reason have a breakout randomly I use it with a cotton bud as an on the spot treatment. It's very gentle and does a good job, as much as you expect from a toner.
Step 4- 'Super Facialist Glow Boost skin serum' Ever since I've used this product my skin has felt tighter, plump and just all around nicer. As soon as I've applied this my skin feels so smooth and seems to drink up this serum instantly and loves it. If I for some reason forget to use this I can tell the difference in my skin. Need to stock up on this soon!!
Step 5- 'Yes to Cucumbers Eye Gel' If you need something to help wake you up, well this is the product for you. Even better if you put it in the fridge but I just don't have the time. I put a pea sized amount on my ring fingers and rub them together before patting the product under my eyes and on my brows. I tend to have half open sleepy eyes in the morning, but this just instantly wakes them up and is so nice a soothing on your skin.
Step 6- 'Yes to Cucumbers Sensitive Moisturiser' This was purchased purely as part of a 3 for 2 deal but am pleasantly surprised. It seems to take a little while to soak into the skin however is a nice, gentle moisturiser that does what it says on the tin. My skin feels smooth and ready for any product put on top of it. Any foundations I choose to apply after my skincare seems to go on so easily and doesn't clump into the sides of my nose where my dry patches are.
Step 7- 'Liz Earl Eye Bright' I don't use this every morning, however on the days when I am really having to drag myself out of bed, I like to use this on a cotton pad and hold them on my eyes for a good ten seconds and tahdah! My eyes feel less puffy, more awake and the best of all you can use it on contact lenses which makes my life easier. As this is the last step it gives my moisturiser time to fully sink into my face and then I'm off out the door.
Do you use any of these products? Do you love skincare and have any recommendations for me?
Thanks for checking out my morning skincare routine! Stay tuned for my evening routine.

Keeping along the same lines as Mondays post with the old 'longer lasting' make-up thing, I'm so into using lip pencils as my liner and full lipstick colour because of that reason. I've narrowed it down to the ones I use the most and find the best results from.
Rimmel: I have two lip pencils I always go to when I need them. One being 'Red Dynamite ' which is your typical bright red, and the other called 'Spice' which is a pinky brown. The formula for both is soft, a little rough and a little bit of dragging along the lips which is ok and I can deal with. They are so long lasting and I've gone through three of the 'Spice' shades because I love it that much. The 'Red Dynamite' is a very close match to MAC 'Cherry' lip liner but a tad less expensive! Overall the Rimmel lip pencils are a good price for a product that stands up to the tests with pretty good results.
NYX: This was found in a random make up sale in an outlet store and decided to grab it because I hadn't got a pink like this in my collection *perfect reason behind the purchase. A lot more of a softer formula than the Rimmel pencils and the shade is a gorgeous bubblegum pink colour, perfect for any girlie girl. Being a softer formula I feel this is the reason as to why this pencil isn't as long lasting as others I own. Don't get me wrong, it's still longer lasting than some lipsticks however easy to smudge by accident and seems to fade on the lips easier.
Purminerals: TKMaxx is an awesome shop, full stop and its where I picked up this bad boy. A near enough perfect match to the very sort after Kylie Jenner 'Soar' lip liner but with a £1.99 price tag. The twist up end broke within the first half an hour of buying it which isn't ideal however persisting with it I can manage to get a small amount out, enough to apply there and then anyway. This has the softest formula and the easiest application of them all. Very minimal drag on the lips and with a brush on the other end you are able to drag and smudge the product over the lips because its that soft..
Are you a fan of lip pencils? Do you bother with them? Have you used any of these?
Happy hump day!

Having to be dairy free isn't the easiest thing sometimes, especially when all you want to do is indulge in cake and you can't just go out and buy one from a shop. This means I have to bake often to keep this urge at bay, which occurs a lot. My sister's gluten free (also not from choice) so I tend to bake for both our needs to allow us both some indulgence every now and again. I must stress that this is a Sainsbury's recipe however I've just adapted it to mine and my sisters dietary needs. This can be adapted further depending on your needs and I have used an egg replacement before which has also worked fine.
Ingredients (dairy free and gluten free):
225g Dairy free butter
225g Caster sugar
225g Gluten free self raising flour
3 tbsp of Soya milk/almond milk
1tsp Vanilla extract
2 tbsp cocoa powder/raw cacao
1 tsp Xanthan gum
1. Your oven needs to be pre-heated to 180C/160C for fan ovens/gas 4. I used any tin I had in the cupboard and this mixture was fine in it. To be honest I totally winged this step so I will let you do the same ;) . Sainsbury's recommends a 20cm cake tin. I line my tins with greaseproof paper as I find it the easiest rather than buttering the tin and all that.
2. Beat the butter and sugar together until smooth and creamy, add eggs to the mixture one at a time and mixture after each one. FOLD the flour through, then add milk and vanilla extract, Xanthan gum and mix until mixture is completely smooth.*You tube video showing how to fold flour HERE.
3. Divide the mixture into two and put in separate bowls. Stir in the cocoa powder into one of the mixtures. Have two spoons and use to randomly dollop the chocolate and vanilla mixture into the tin. When it has covered the tin and you have used it all, take a knife or a kebab stick and swirl it around a few times to create the marble effect.
4. Bake your yummy cake for 45 mins or until a skewer or knife can be put into the centre of the cake and pulled out to reveal its clean.
The obvious things to remember: Wash your hands first, keep in an airtight container for upto 3 days, and if freezing it can be kept for upto 3 months.
Now what are you waiting for????? Go make it and enjoy the fluffiest cake ever!! Please tag me in any photos taken of your marble cakes, and if using hashtags please use #JPMarbleCake

A family member asked the other day 'How can I make my make up last longer as it just feels like its completely gone by the end of the day'. I have my favourite products pictured above and went through each of them to my Aunt. So how do I make mine last longer?
Starting with a primer?- For people who have very sensitive skin like my sister primers are hard to find that don't react with her skin. In my case though my favourites are the Laura Mercier Primer and the Benefit Porefessional. Both very different however do the trick by prepping your skin ready for product and somehow just grabs onto your base make up and puts it under lock and key. There are others that I have used and have been happy with but these two are by far top of my primer love list.
Locking make up in with powder?- I've recently found this Healthy Balance powder which is a great way to lock in and moisture which could be the issue as to why your make up has disappeared by the end of the day. This should be your best friend if you suffer with oily skin as can be re applied through out the day if needed, however when put on my t-zone in the morning I feel comfortable its still there when I get home.
Finishing with a spritz?- A fixing spray is a genius idea and without this I would still be using hairspray *don't try this at home I was silly and very young. The idea is that you spray a few pumps all over your face and it locks in your make up keeping it intact for longer. Mac aren't the only brand to do a fix spray, and another personal fav for this job is by Caudalie beauty elixir is also awesome and refreshes your make up whenever you feel needed.
So there are a few options I've gone through which I hope helps anyone struggling to make their make up stay longer.
Would love to know your tricks!

I am so happy that last week is over for a few reasons. Number one, I was so ill *cold/flu and kept dragging myself into work day after day which just lengthened the week and made it feel like forever. Number two, any other teacher will agree that last week of term is hard as both you and the students are incredibly tired and have had enough. Number three, its now half term!!!!
Some of you will already know that I have planned a post a day over half term which I have been so excited about so I hope you all enjoy that. Anyway heres what I've been upto this week.
1- In an attempt to make myself feel better hoping that when I woke up Monday I would be 100% *wishful thinking I made myself a dairy free marble cake. I actually ate the majority of the cake...woops but it was so nice. I just used a Sainsbury's recipe (which will actually be a post this week) and just changed some of the ingredients to dairy free ones and it turned out great.
2- Loving scrolling through endless amounts of tumbler photos *mostly make up and fashion and came across losts of MAC pictures. These lipsticks look like such nice shades and I will be adding to my lipstick collection over the half term....MAC haul warning?
3- A little Bourjois haul I treated myself to. I never used to be much of a fan of Bourjois but recently have really been getting into their products, especially the velvet liquid lipsticks. Just good quality drugstore make up! I am so impressed with the pressed powder *bold statement alert, I don't think I will want anything different again.
4- Lusting over Acne clothes all day every day. On a trip to London to get my Bridesmaid dress altered and popped into Liberty's for my sister to do some research for uni. I just love the clothes and a pair of their jeans is something that if I ever had in my possession would make me so happy.
5- There isn't a day that goes by without seeing a Jenners face. Please don't take this as though I'm complaining as I'm not, they are so beautiful and get so much make up and fashion inspo from them. Kylie always has the most perfect looking make up and would love to wake upto to lips like hers.
6- Having bleached hair is such high maintenance and this Loreal trio helps out so much. I've done a whole post on them HERE so go check it out :)
7- Living a dairy free life isn't too bad, but as soon as the sun comes out and everyone walks along the beach with their ice cream cones I will soon become very negative towards the whole thing. I do have my own tubs of dairy free ice cream but it's not the same. Anyone else feel my pain??
8- Wearing my Daniel Wellington watch day after day. Love it so much and am getting a restless feeling like I must...get...more??? A rose gold one would top my collection off amazingly.
9- My morning face for you all from yesterday straight after applying my mascara of choice for the day. No matter how many other mascaras I try I always go back to the Loreal Telescopic. The brush is my favourite, the formula is my favourite, the power of the product is my favourite and nothing can come between us....or can it?
10- My valentines day face was very simple, quick and easy. Going on a school trip instead of doing romantical things with the boyfriend was not ideal however I had offered and simple make up that would last the day had to be done. Post HERE.
11- The school trip I went on was to the six nations! How cool!! Tony was very jealous but in his words 'fair play' and that gave me the ok to say yes to going. It was amazing and my first Twickenham experience, and I will make sure its not my last. My dad has always played rugby and Tony does so I've always been around it and enjoy it a lot. I hope England make the final!!
12- Waking up to my baby boy right in front of my face had to be put on instagram. Anyone else have a cat who does this? As much as it's cute, it's kind of annoying and hair gets everywhere haha. *Catladyproblems.
I hope you have all had an awesome week, and all you fellow teachers and students enjoy your half term!!
Stand by for my daily posts :)

I'm not actually spending Valentines day with my boyfriend as I'm off on a school trip to watch England play in the six nations which is pretty cool. Tony being a rugby player himself was all for me going.
I gave myself a lay in today so had to make my face presentable in case I had to be included in any school trip pictures or if I met Martin Johnson I would so ask him for a selfie!
My quick Valentines face:
I wanted to go for something that would last and that would just make me look a bit more fresh and awake. The Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation is such a great base. I only need to use one pump which covers my whole face nicely and gives a lovely fresh in the middle coverage. I obviously apply this with a Real Techniques brush but today have gone for the buffing brush for a bit of a lighter application and finish.
For the little details like the brows I am using my trusty Soap and Glory Archery as this never fails me. Natural look, easy to apply, quick to apply and lasts all day. However not when I forget I have done my brows and itch them......this happens often.
The Benefit tint I've gone for on my cheeks and lips for tiny bit of colour. Its a shade of pink that gives you an instant re-fresh for a pretty girlie look (perfect for valentines).
Eyes are my thing. I love mascara and trying to make my eyes look bigger is THE thing I am always trying to do. Loreal False Lash Telescopic is my trusty partner in crime when it comes to lashes. Just two coats and my lashes are huge, long and full and am always getting asked what false lashes I'm wearing. And to help me out with the bigger eye look I am totally hooked on this nude eyeliner from Rimmel. Just using this on the water line makes my eyes look bigger and no red in sight.
So there it is. My quick Valentines simple yet cute make up look.

Thank goodness I was lucky enough to receive this as a Christmas present as my hair has definitely needed the love and care this has given it. I've used the 'Mythic oil' before and have gone through a whole large bottle so before I even started on this trio I knew I would love them.
I use this before shampooing and on damp hair. I listen to songs whilst in the shower and know that after two songs I can rinse it out and shave my legs to pass the time. My hair can get quite greasy easily so never apply this midway up and just apply it from the middle down as this is my weakest and damaged area. It smells so luxurious and really does help to leave it very nourished and smooth. It is made up of avocado, argan and grapeseed oil and makes a noticeable difference when washing my hair with shampoo after, as normally my hair is a tangled knotty mess. But with this I can wash it nicely and with ease.
I have to be careful not to go over board with the whole silky soft and smooth hair and more so than not I actually have greasy hair. I can't use this shampoo on the same day I use the masque otherwise a grease fest is created. However this comes in handy when I have a week where I forget or can't be bothered to stand around the shower for 3 minutes so need something mid week to replenish it. This obviously has the same sort of smell as the other products and actually is a very similar consistency to the oil. I've only used this once every two weeks as it is very powerful and definitely does what it says.
Have you used any of these products before? What do you think of them?
Happy wash you hair Wednesday!

Who doesn't love a Boots deal? Well Bourjois had one of their own in Boots recently and of course, it had to be done. There were a few things from Bourjois I wanted to try and managed to get two of the three and a little something extra so I was certainly a happy bunny.
Sharpener- £3.49: I've needed a new sharpener for a while now and wanted one with a large and small hole. This had both and in a small container so you can store the sharpening's in if you aren't near a bin which I quite enjoy. Being a lovely girly bright pink also adds to me picking this up. Have used it loads and really glad I got one.
Healthy balance powder- £8.99: Having heard so much about this powder *especially from Lily and Anna I knew that when my current powder had finished I had to pick it up and give it a go. I can't comment too much on it yet and obviously there will be a post on it sometime soon but it is really nice and I am enjoying it. It is quite fragranced along the same lines as the healthy mix foundation which is fruity and fresh. A bonus to this product is that it has a mirror inside! Now how many times do we need a handy compact mirror?!
Rouge edition velvet- £8.99: 'Frambourjoise' is my newest rouge edition lip product and boy is this a nice shade. More of a dusky raspberry I am so in love with it. It has a matte finish but stays velvety smooth and lasts for hours, through food and drink! These are amazing and sometime in the future I do feel I will own the complete collection because I love them so much.
Are you feeling love for Bourjois at the moment? What do you use or want?

Another week and we are here again, a Sunday round up. Sundays are my most fav day of the week as it revolves around food, chilling and tv *or in my case Netflix. Enjoy the post, and if you don't already follow me on Instagram, what are you waiting for?! (@JPOPPY88).
1- My skin is super happy when I use this Una Brennan mask, and whenever I use it I can't stop touching my face it feels that smooth and soft. It does such a great job of clearing out *super gross* your dirty pores and leaves your face looking spick and span as it's jam packed with ingredients your skin loves.
2- Date night at the cinema to see Big Hero 6 which I have to say was brilliant! We sat amost a room of children and their parents and laughed our heads off. Some are saying its better than Frozen? Hmmm I'm not sure but was an all round feel good film, totally worth going to see.
3- My lips are not happy at the moment and is a tad frustrating when you love wearing lipstick the amount that I do. This Nuxe balm has been helping lots for during the day at work and is really smooth and buttery so does a good job of caking my lips in moisture. I'm so happy I bought this in the stick form as its so quick and easy to use.
4- Seems that my constant mission is to find the best eyeliner out there. One that doesn't rub off, one that doesn't transfer onto my lid and so on. I was extremely disappointed with how the Collection eyeliners came out on nye. I am continuing to try them out, but compare to the Revlon one they definitely loose.
5- A small collection of items I would like from Whistles. No matter what time of year there is always a good amount of items I'm lusting over. I am trying to re-organise my clothes due to being ill, loosing weight and my clothes not fitting so am determined to re-stock mostly from Whistles.....I can wish.
6- This Candy Mountain bubble bar *Seasonal is so yummy and the amount of bubbles it makes is the most I've ever seen. My bath took me back 20 years when I was a kid surrounded by bubbles. Thanks lush for creating these excellent products making bath time fun.
7- I don't need to say anymore than.....this is so true!
8- Had me claws done as a little Friday treat to myself. Wasn't overly happy with the price but oh well I got what I wanted. I haven't had acrylic nails for ages now and do have a soft spot for them. I am planning on having them for a month or so then having them taken off to allow then to breath and grow strong again.
9- A product I have trusted for years and years now I eventually shared with the world. I've always had really red cheeks and this is N7 product sorts the problem out the best of anything I've tried before. No matter if I laugh too much or whether I am crying or get embarrassed my face lights up light the stop light. You need this product in your life I all of this sounds familiar.
10- Playing dress up in COS. Literally my second fav shop as well as Whistles. I ended up buying the cape thing as it was a bargain in the sale. Really wanted the rest but had to draw the line somewhere and didn't have the next size down in the trousers. Someone post a COS gift voucher through my door please!!
11- The most beautiful store in London? Liberty is one of my most favourite stores to visit when in London as it has everything under one roof. The beauty hall is so nice and welcoming and obviously I tend to spend quite a bit of time in there. On this occasion we had to investigate finishings to garments for some research my sister is doing for her final year at uni. I fell in love with a Christopher Kane dress that was just perfection.....
12- I feel proud this is only the second food picture of the group! Gluten free and dairy free lunch for myself, mother and sister *allergies our us we should be called. Bella Italia was great and really did the job for filling us up ready for more walking and shopping, shopping and walking. We went to the one round the corner from Liberty and it was heaving but luckily got a table pretty quick!
Hope you've all had a super weekend!

Because of the spontaneous fashion post on Wednesday I thought I would do a beauty related one today to make up for it.
For years now I have suffered with the 'rosy cheek, british rose' face. I can remember being in school and other kids calling me 'rosy giggles' because of how much my face went red. To this day this still happens but I have had a product by my side for so long now that keeps me under control.
This stuff has been in my make up collection for so many years now. I love it and can't possibly walk out the door without it on. Obviously it doesn't completely get rid of red cheeks, but because of the green shade of the liquid it helps to really calm it down. It's just something that makes you feel a bit more at ease when going into any social occasion that you might get embarrassed, laugh too much, trip over the list goes on.
I only apply it on my cheeks as that is the place where I am the most red. It's a nice consistency and acts as a good primer for your foundation or tint depending on what tales your fancy that day. Sometimes if you are having a dry skin day it can clump your dry skin together which isn't nice, but that just makes you more on the ball with your skincare routine.
If you suffer with the dreaded 'red cheek' situation then this should be your next purchase.
Happy Friday my lovely followers!
See you Sunday for a round up post :)

Whistles is one of those shops that I'll always find something in there that I like, and at the moment theres quite a lot so I thought I would share them with you. I hope some of these will be future purchases however I feel some I could be waiting a long time for.
Jeans: Everyone seems to wear jeans, they are just a thing. I've recently bought myself a new Topshop pair and stopped myself getting the same ones in blue. I've always told myself I will get myself a treat pair of jeans from Whistles one day, and I feel that this will happen this year!
Necklace: Items like this really remind me of my sister and are very up her street however this one really takes my fancy. So simple yet is able to make a statement at the same time. I like the fact it has a chain to determine the length as a lot of collars like this are just one length.
Roll neck: The colour of this is just awesome and would love to rock this at some point. I can just see it on a chilly but bright sunny day, with my blue jeans and the backpack.....spot on I feel. The colour speaks for itself but I really do enjoy a high neck top and deep inside I'm trying to justify why I need another, and in this colour....I just need one ok? *Starts to get breathless over new clothes possibility.
Denim shirt: So this is a lightweight type of denim and perfect for spring/summer. The colour is a gorgeous baby blue and I can imagine looks greats done up and undone with a white vest top underneath. I would wear it during the day and in the evening, and would especially like to wear it with the gold collar necklace!!
CC holder: I bought my sister one of these for Christmas and now am thinking I would quite enjoy one of these in my life however this one has an added bonus. A mirror on the back!! Need to check your lippy as you get on a train? This is your new best mate.
Print shirt: Shirtaholic.com =me and I won't deny it. I have so many shirts and have to really think about my work outfits otherwise it'll be a different shirt everyday and I will sooner or later be known as 'shirt lady'. I do love this pattern though. Monochrome love right here and again would go with so many occasions, the backpack, the jeans and the necklace!
Backpack: This has been on my wish list for a long time now. It's just so much money, and too much for me to justify to myself let alone my boyfriend. The simplicity of this backpack is glorious and getting it in black is a winner winner as would go with everything and wouldn't get too ruined because of the dark shade.
I stretched my ears as a teenager and regret it completely.
Earrings: Earrings like this will always be on my wish list as they wouldn't stay in my ear. So a girl can dream of lovely earrings like this and please go out and buy them and enjoy them!!
Suit trouser: I have to wear smart clothes to work but have recently rather enjoyed the smart suit look for a night out or a special occasion. They would look great with some sandals and a lace bralet or a shirt or a jumper, the list goes on.
Hope you enjoyed my wish list. Do you share my Whistles love? Is there anything you want from there right now?
Happy hump day and thanks for reading!
